This program focuses on how to run an effective process for raising an institutional venture capital round. This month we'll be joined by Jason Fiedler, Managing Partner at Left Lane Capital.

 Managing Partner, Left Lane Capital
Mr. Fiedler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. Â While at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Fiedler founded Splash.FM, a platform for social music discovery, that was one of two undergraduate businesses accepted into Wharton's venture initiation program. Â He finished as the top undergraduate in the 2011 Wharton Business Plan Competition.
After graduating in 2011, Mr. Fiedler joined Insight as an Investment Analyst and was involved with Insight’s investments in Smartsheet, Anaqua, Branding Brand and Pluralsight.
In 2013, Mr. Fiedler joined Uber as an early employee and Operations Manager. Â Mr. Fiedler was responsible for launching and managing three of Uber's first 100Â markets and developing the strategy and playbook for remote markets. Â He was also involved in the launch of UberRUSH and early experiments in food delivery that led to the launch of UberEATS.Â
In 2015, Mr. Fiedler joined Red Sea Ventures where he was most recently a Principal. Â Mr. Fiedler worked with early stage consumer companies including Allbirds, Sweetgreen, Prose and MyVillage. Â He was involved in everything from deal sourcing and diligence to platform and portfolio management, and helped Red Sea Ventures raise its second fund. Â Mr. Fiedler also founded VC TableTalk, a monthly dinner and networking event hosted by a new VC every month and has now completed over 30+ events.
Over the last six years, Mr. Fiedler has established himself as a top angel investor in New York with investments across 10 businesses, including The Farmer’s Dog, FIGS, Imperfect Produce, Candid, Universal Standard, The Infatuation and Sideline Swap.  In 2018, Mr. Fiedler received the Forbes 30 Under 30 Award in Venture Capital.
At Left Lane, Mr. Fiedler has continued his investment focus on Direct-to-Consumer ecommerce, supply-driven marketplaces, foodtech, and pet businesses. Operationally he has focused on thesis- and network-based sourcing, fund marketing and team culture.
